Helicopter flights are exciting. So why not use one for a special occasion, such as a birthday or other celebration. You can book a flight to a special event, go on a helicopter sightseeing tour, or even fly into your own wedding. Or it is possible to book a helicopter flying lesson and get the chance to have a go on the controls. So how does someone go about arranging to charter a helicopter?
Finding Helicopter Charter Services
Most helicopter flying schools and commercial operators can arrange flights of this nature. They may do it on a regular basis, and be able to suggest ideas to their customers. Or they may be able to arrange something on an individual basis, if the prospective customer lets them know what is required.
Organisations which arrange helicopter charter can be found on the internet, or many advertise in magazines and newspapers. However, it is best to make sure that it is the charter organization itself which is being dealt with. There are a number of ‘middle men’ – companies which offer helicopter experiences, and then find the organization nearest to the customer’s home. This is a simple way of doing things, but it will be more expensive.
What Can You Charter a Helicopter For?
The following are popular uses for helicopters, particularly for first time flyers:-

Helicopter flying is not cheap, but it may not be as expensive as some people think. It is worth the customer considering what it actually is that they want. If all that is wanted is to see what it feels like, it is best to look for an organization which arranges helicopter experiences. These may be very short flights of five or ten minutes, with a number of people aboard; so they can be done reasonably economically.
However, if the customer has a special requirement and needs the helicopter for himself and family or friends, this can be arranged, but he will pay accordingly. It is always worth shopping around, and letting the helicopter charter organization know exactly what is required. Also, remember that the customer will pay from the moment the helicopter leaves its base, so a company which is closest to where the customer intends to go is likely to work out more economical.
A helicopter trip is very special. If it is planned carefully, it could provide a never-to-be-forgotten experience.
